Summer Days

Well we haven't been up to much lately. Just the usual summer of trying to beat the heat, which usually means swimming- which we have been doing a lot of lately. Other than that I can just been chasing the 2 crazies around. I thought I would post these of the two. After dinner I was cleaning up the kitchen, and the girls were up in the playroom playing, and Nick and I were just chatting. He went upstairs to start their baths and found them not in the playroom but in our bathroom, doing this...

I just keep telling myself it is gel, it washes out.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July a little late :) We decided to go down to California and visit our friends the Bringhursts for the long weekend. We wanted to escape the heat and I am so glad we did. We had an awesome time. We got there late Friday night so we chatted for a bit and then went to bed. We woke up on Saturday and went to a parade. It was a pretty good one, the only thing that I was disappointed about was they didn't throw any candy :(

I of course left my camera in the car so this was the only picture I grabbed with my phone.

Anyway then we headed to the beach! It was sooooo nice. It was a little chillier than we might have wanted but we loved it. We could have left Alice there all day. She absolutely loved it. The water was a little cold for her, but she was digging and playing in the sand the whole time. Reagan liked the water for the most part. She loved the sand until she wanted a snack and couldn't get the sand off her hands! I took a bunch of pictures at the beach since we don't get to go very often.

How can you not love Reagan's hair in this one?!?

We headed back to the house and showered and rested up, grabbed some food and hung out. I was so wiped out by the beach! On Sunday we went to church and did the fire pit out back and roasted smores. It was so nice relaxing and being in 60ish degree weather. Thanks to the Bringhursts for letting us invade we had an awesome time!
