Merry Christmas

We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We had a great one. It was the first time that we had Christmas all by ourselves, and it was still pretty fun. We definitely missed being with more family, but it was nice being at our own house. It was a fun year with Reagan, she was totally into opening her presents. Alice was pretty into it too, but once she saw her toothbrush in her stocking she was happy! Reagan woke up at 6:30 and came into our room and told us she needed to go see what Santa left her in her stocking, we kept her in until 7 and went and woke up Alice and then the magic began! Before the madness:

Alice loves Andes Mints in case you wondering!
She also loved her Mr. Potato Head
And Reagan finally got to open the big box, she had been dying to open (it was a kitchen).
We also went out again to attempt picture of the girls and me. Jenn was so nice to try again! Here is what turned out! Alice was still not too smiley, but she did better I must admit!
The best one I could get of us.
And this is when Alice was the happiest.

Do you think that would be ok if I blew that one up on the wall :P

Dec 2009 Happenings

Well we have had a fun and busy month, so I thought that I would blog it through pictures. Warning there are a lot.
We went and saw the tallest U.S. Christmas tree. It was really tall but we think it looked more like a corn cob! Alice had her first candy cane and loved it. I think this picture speaks for itself!
I also ran the Santa run, which is a 5 K, with some of my friends. It was fun and there were about 9,000 Santa's running! Reagan thought it was really fun seeing everyone dressed up. Here is a picture of us at the end. I have really squinty eyes b/c it was so bright. It was pretty cold that day too. Nick took the girls to play at the playground while I was running.
We then went to go visit Santa. Reagan told him that she wanted a jump rope and a dress up. I was so afraid that Alice would scream, but she did so good. I didn't get her to smile but these are the 2 best ones I could get.
We then had what Reagan called Christmas Church. She was so excited to wear her Christmas clothes! They were pretty cute this morning. I think Alice looks so big.
I think Reagan says its best.

Family Pictures

We decided to brave the cold and go get our family pictures taken! Of course Alice wouldn't smile or keep her headband on or let anyone hold besides Nick, but she's 1 1/2 so what do you expect. Reagan did pretty good besides taking her headband off a million times. So here are a couple of them!

Thanksgiving

We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did. Holidays are sometimes hard out here, because we are so far from all of our family, but we are so grateful that we have good friends here that stayed in town too! Everyone asked us is anyone coming in town to visit, and I would say yeah, The Rogers! The Rogers have been great family friends for a couple of years now and they don't have family close by either, so it great to spend holidays with them. This year, Emily's sister and husband came down from Provo to visit so they were able to come too! Nick was really excited to have our first Thanksgiving in our house, so we had to make the whole meal! It was delicious too! Nick's favorite thing about Thanksgiving is appetizers and the snacking all day. So we had to have that table.

We were also excited that we had a table that more than 4 people could sit at.
And then the turkey. I was a little nervous, but I think it turned out pretty good. We had so much food, I should have taken a picture of all it. Emily also made all the awesome pies. They were sooooo good.
Then there was the kids table. I loved that Easton ate a roll for Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanksgiving was followed by some serious 24 hour shopping! Hope you all had a good holiday.
