Summer is here

Summer is definitely here which of course means swimming. Reagan is still our little fish, and I think Alice is going to follow in her footsteps. Alice is still warming up to it, but I think once the water is a little warmer, she is going to love it. Here are some pictures from our latest swim days.

These 4 definitely spell trouble!

I love swim days because I turn my back for one second and this is what I see.

Alice saw a lollipop that Reagan had and of course wanted one for herself. She thought it was pretty funny for some reason. She was laughing pretty hard, but of course when we pulled out the camera this is all we got, still pretty cute.

I wish I was a little bit taller...

We had Reagan and Alice's 3 year old and 1 year old check-ups today. Reagan was really excited to go to the doctor, which made the experience nice! She is healthy and growing great. Here are her stats.

Height- 40 1/4 (95th% and above)
Weight- 39 pounds ( 95th %)

They asked me all these questions about her development. She asked how she does sharing with other kids. I thought that one was a trick question!
As for Alice, she is my little peanut. Here are her stats.

Height- 26 1/2 (negative 5%)
Weight- 17.6 pounds (5th%)
Head- 45 1/2 cm (50-75th %)

That is right negative percentile!!!! So they are a little concerned about her height since she has fallen off the chart. So we are going to watch her for the next month. We aren't too worried, we think she is just a little short! We will keep you posted. It is just funny to compare her and Reagan. So we are hoping that Alice will grow here in the next month. So if anyone has any tips to make your child grow in height let me know. For now we just have this song lulling her to sleep hoping it will encourage her.

Alice and the Cake

First of all I have decided that I am NOT crafty, so I am going to stop pretending and trying to be. Nick will probably be excited that I won't be spending money at Jo-Ann's and Michael's anymore! This realization has been a long time coming, and I have always known it deep down, but I am now ready to face it. What caused this you maybe asking yourself, Alice's birthday. I thought I would be cute and make her a UNO shirt and cake. It seemed simple enough. This is what her shirt was supposed to look like.

Simple enough and clever. So I went and bought a little tank top and the supplies. Let's just say it didn't turn out and I didn't even bother taking a picture to show you the disaster. Now on to the cake. I thought it would be easy enough to do a UNO cake. Well I wanted to buy the gel stuff, becuase I thought it would be easy to deal with, but of course they didn't have any. So I got this other stuff, and I should have read the label, becuase of course I grabbed the one that you are supposed to have a cake decorating tip. That is why it is so thick. I am glad that Alice didn't care. Sorry I'm not crafty Alice. Guess the Beastie Boy's won't be singing any songs about me in the future! Here is a picture of the cake.

Happy Birthday Alice

Alice is 1. I can't believe it! We are going to eat cake tomorrow b/c we of course have a busy night tonight. (Pictures will be coming) But I just wanted to acknowledge it today. She is such a sweet baby, and has such a sweet demeanor. I mean how could you not love this girl. I feel so blessed to have her in our family. (I know that sounds cheesy, but it's true!!!!)

I can't believe that today a year ago she was like this.

I'm So Proud

It is official! Nick is now a Deputy District Attorney!!! I am so proud of him and how hard he has worked. I am really excited for him. He is going to be busy putting the bad guys away! We love you Nick and glad that you work hard for our family.
