We got back a little while ago from the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay in Utah. It was really cool. Nick's team, Team Chasqui (Chas-kee) did really well. To tell you a little bit about the relay, they run from Logan, Utah to Park City, Utah. It is 189 miles and they run non-stop. It is a 12 person relay team. Each person does 3 legs. Nick ran a total of about 18 miles. He had one of the longest and hardest legs, but he did awesome. The girls and I cheered him on and had a great time. The team finished in 29 hours and 4o min. They beat their time by 20 min. I think it is b/c this time they had Nick! I was really impressed by him and all his team. Here are some pictures!
This was Nick's first leg. It was aroud 3.8 miles strait up hill switch backs the whole way. It was one of the hardest legs of the whole race.

Nick and a friend getting ready to sleep in the van until thier next leg.

Our attempt at a family pic along the way.

Nick's second leg was about 6 am, we didn't get any pictures of it, b/c we were asleep in the hotel :) It was 7.2 miles (I think) and again pretty much up hill the whole way. The third leg we only were able to see him come in b/c he was running on a dirt/gravel road that wouldn't allow us on it. It was 7.8 miles and it was almost all down hill, which Nick said was almost harder than all the rest, because it was so hard on all his joints. It started raining pretty hard! Nick on the hand off.

All of the support and cheer section.

Team Chasqui

In case you were wondering what Chasqui meant, this is the official Wikipedia definition:
The Chasquis (also Chaskis) were agile and highly-trained runners that delivered messages, royal delicacies and other objects throughout the Inca Empire, principally in the service of the Sapa Inca.
We are excited for the Vegas one in October!!!!
